What's Up, Wednesday? (What? Two Weeks in a Row??)

I know.  Two weeks in a row.  Not bad, eh?  Here's what's up:

Lots of books - so many that my chiropractor, who knows I am a teacher and have summers off,  remarked today, "Have you been reading a lot?  Because your neck is really tight."  Yes, I have.  And it's totally been worth the tight neck.

We could not have had a more perfect day for blueberry picking this year.  Last year it was about 100 degrees when we did this, no joke.  It was cool and breezy and the sky was beautiful.

We made a quick run to Pana Saturday evening to bring my dad a birthday cake and present.

I got my hair cut yesterday.  I almost didn't go for a big change, but I'm so glad that I did.  It's way too easy to get stuck in a rut with the way you look (especially the older you get).  Not this gal.  Not yet.

One last thing is that I feel I have finally unlocked the puzzle that is T.J. Maxx.  I have a very good friend who has always loved to shop there.  I would comment on something cute she was wearing or in her house and she would respond, "T.J. Maxx."  So I would go in there and I just DID NOT GET IT. There was never anything there that appealed to me AT ALL.  I've been hunting for Rae Dunn pottery for months (because as you might know, I am a sucker for things with words on them) and NADA.  Then we made a trip down to Carbondale and I found two mugs.  And three pairs of shoes.  Aaaaand two organizers for the house.

I've been to a couple in different locations  since, and I swear, it's like they finally let me in the secret entrance to the room they keep the good stuff in.  Tonight I hit the Rae Dunn jackpot.

And as for their reusable shopping bags, I think a lot of you need this one in your life.

You can never have too many reusable shopping bags or pictures of cats wearing glasses or hats.  But that's just my opinion.
